The 1975 - Robbers

The highly anticipated new music video from The 1975 was released two days ago (28th April 2014) and tells a story of love, drugs, alcohol and robbers. The Tarantino-esque video is beautiful, even without delving in to it's true meaning or the inspiration behind it, but, Healy's own eloquent explanation adds another dimension to the already amazing video.

"I got really obsessed with the idea behind Patricia Arquette’s character in True Romance when I was about eighteen.
That craving for the bad boy in that film it’s so sexualised. It was something I was obsessed with. 'Robbers' is about a heist that goes wrong – I suppose you can read it as a metaphor – and a girl who’s obsessed with her professional killer boyfriend. It’s a romantic ideal."
The video - paired with Healy's unique tone - must be experienced.
Watch it. Now.
